Fashion boutiques come in all shapes and sizes. They are for all different kinds of markets.
Name of Shop: Nickanny’s Treasures
How Did You Get The Name: It’s a combination of my children’s names, and it makes them feel like part of the process and gives them some ownership in the shop. It takes a lot of work and help from your family, and knowing it’s kind of named after them makes them proud.
What Types Of Items Do You Have: As of right now, it’s got the Christmas season dresses in it. I love all the fun dress up ideas and ways to pretty up the clothing for girls. We carry clothing for girls (and sometimes for boys) in sizes 2T – 16. I like to think of it as young girls and tweens.
We carry dresses and dress accessories, and gymnastics and dance wear. I have lots of types of dresses, and shirts and skirts, as well as jewelry for young girls. They are really a hard market to find the right things for.
My items are a little higher priced than perhaps some others, but it’s also a lot of hard to find and quality products. As girls search for individuality and don’t want to have all the same things from the mainstream stores, I provide an experience that allows them to flesh out a style they can feel good about.
What Types Of Trends Have You Seen: I have seen the animal print and vest selling really well this season. Also, a lot of fringe. And sequins are doing well for me too!
What Brands Do You Carry? I carry ML Fashions, Bonnie Jean, Collectables America, AMB, Divina Dancewear, Butterfly Treasures, Grace In LA Jeans. I have a few others but those are the main ones. I am always trying new brands and styles to see what works.
How Long Have You Had Your Shop: My shop will be one year old in April, and I now have 2 shops because I have one in Moore, OK and one in Stillwater OK. I have learned a lot about buying inventory and trends during that time.
Where Is Your Shop Located: It’s at the Showplace Market, 2001 S Broadway St, Moore, OK 73160 and in Stillwater, OK at 615 S Main St, Stillwater, OK 74074
